Safe-T-Filter
We supply a range of red and gold safety filter lamps for specific use in lithographic plate making, photographic printing processes, microchip fabrication and maritime applications also for use in other applications where photo-resist is used or where no white light conditions apply. All safe-T-Filter products are CE marked and meet the requirements of DIN 53455.
Gold Safe-T-Filter Fluorescent Lamps
The specially formulated gold Safe-T-Filter Lamp absorbs all wavelengths up to 500 nanometers,
with a high yellow/gold light transmission output for maximum visual working. The product is specified to
meet all CE requirements for clean room and lithographic photo-resistant working. The technical
specification has chromaticity co-ordinates of x = 0.521 y = 0.471 and an average lumens per
output of 28. Dependent upon the lamp chosen, typical lux outputs greater than 90% of the old type tubes are achieved.
Red Safe-T-Filter Lamps
The specially formulated red safe-T-Filter lamp, absorbs all wavelengths up to 610 nanometers, with a high
red light transmission output for maximum dark adaptation working. The product is specified to meet
all CE requirements for photographic room, lithographic photo-resistant working and maritime
applications. The technical specifications has chromaticity co-ordinates of x= 0.687, y = 0.281 and
an average lumens per watt output of 18. Dependant upon the lamp chosen, typical lux output
is greater than 56% of the old type tube are achieved.
UV C1 Safe-T Filter Fluorescent Lamp
Specially formulated UV protection UV lamp absorbs all wavelengths up to 400 nm. A clear polycarbonate UV
stabilised sleeve that provides all the protection needed, operating in temperatures ranging from –40°C to + 125°C.
Transparency is excellent with a light loss of less than 6 %. Infestation is impossible with the sleeves as they are
completely sealed and a wipe with a damp cloth will remove any dirt or dust from the exterior.
Safe-T-Filter Darkroom
Ronfell Group safelamps are designed to meet the specification of Agfa and Kodak photographic requirements.
The clear Shattershield polycarbonate sleeve with thermally welded end caps totally encapsulates a white fluorescent tube which immediately protects the lamp to IK 7 European Standards and in the event of breakage the Shattershield sleeve will CONTAIN all toxic and dangerous glass fragments, thereby protecting personnel and equipment.
The special red, gold and clear polyester filters are coated both sides for maximum safety within the Shattershield sleeve allowing the light source to be controlled to very precise margins giving maximum illumination levels and a generous safe handling time.
One 5ft = 58watt safelight will produce more illumination than three or more lantern type safelights, which tend to create pools of light and dark areas. Unlike hot tungsten bulbs, which burn out and produce rapid filter deterioration, the Shattershield fluorescent runs cool and lasts infinitely longer saving on both current consumption and maintenance. The Darkroom safelamps are easy to install into existing batten units.
We can supply a complete batten unit with lamps or choose our new RGP totally plastic non-rusting batten.
Explosionproof Zone 1 Exe fitting with energy saving ballasts are available for Chemical areas.
